Hey there! I'm here from Canipulate with your requested critique.
My apologies for the delay!

First things first - I LOVE the color pallette in this piece. The gradiated hue from purple down through the pinks and pale yellow, then back to purples and darker hues at the bottom give this such a serene feeling. The pale yellow in the sky really helps tie the wolf's colors into the piece too.

There are a few flaws with the background composition itself that personally would have made me select something different. I know this is a premade background, but the glow around the two angled rock walls and the fact that the rocks are actually transparent in places (you can see through to the ocean beyond xD) make this a not-so-great background choice. Its really too bad the artist who put together the bg didn't link to the original stocks used because I think you probably could have done a better job blending them yourself. I digress.
(Actually the original foreground here: fav.me/d64akpn)

I think the placement of the wolf is done very well - coming out of the darkness and into the pale light of dawn/dusk, it sets a wonderful mood. To me, there are some problems with lighting though. For how soft the overall lighting of the piece is, the highlights on the front of the wolf seem a bit strong. Reducing the opacity of the highlights would help to soften them up a bit, and maybe even a little added gaussian blur. Also the hind legs I don't feel needed much, if any, highlighting as they are still very much so in the shadows. The wolf's shadow also seems very strong for the low lighting. A less defined shadow - more blur, lower opacity - could remedy this. However you did a good job with the light source and location of highlights/shadows.

Overall I really love this piece - the setting, the mood, the colors - its wonderfully crafted. I think there's just a few small things that could have been changed in the execution to perfect it.
